The Russian translation of Zoltán Böszörményi's novel Far form nothing was recently published.
“This book will be enjoyed by many and loathed by no less. No reader will be left indifferent.” Says György Ferdinándy, the writer.
“Not a bad book, but I doubt if I’d read it again,” said the person who handed me the book. This and the above quote on the back of the book piqued my curiosity.
This is a circular novel with a philosophical preamble consisting of a few classical quotations and sixty six segments. Each segment is either a scene or a reflection by the narrator that connects the thoughts and the scenes. The reader has a feeling of reeling along concentric circles, moving from the outer rings to the inner ones. He is far from nothing but near to something all the time.
Zoltán Böszörményi arrived in Toronto without the command of the language or any marketable skills and with $25 in his pocket. A few years and a college degree later he was running his own business. But it was not there that he made his first million.

A great novel!
Last time, on our way back from the Iron Gate and Krassó-Szörény in October, I received Zoltán's latest book, While I Think I Exist, at the Present House.
I read it with great interest, literally all the way through, I could hardly put it down.
Once again, I thank Zoltán and Jelen Publishers for this book. It was like reading a printed online story. A great novel!

A good novel offers endless possibilities for interpretation/reading. The Regal is such a novel. One of Kinga Lázár's quotes is particularly thought-provoking. "How would I behave in their place?" The question is asked by Tamás, the main character. Yes, it is worth approaching the characters from this point of view, and asking ourselves the question: How would I behave in their shoes?
